The Ultimate Guide For A European Vacation

It’s officially summer, and that means it’s time for a really good European vacation. Although we are already in July, summer is still not over yet. Kids are still out of school, and parents still have PTO left, so let’s go ahead and pack up to go to Europe this year, or maybe you want to go to Europe next year, just like us. My fiancé and I have decided we’re going to Europe next year for our honeymoon, so this is going to be the ultimate guide for the European vacation.

I have been to Europe before, and it’s absolutely stunning. It’s beautiful. When I went to Europe, it was back in 2021, post-COVID, still covered, but post-COVID, towards the end of it, I ended up going, and it was a magical trip. I absolutely loved it, so I did a lot of research prior to this, prior to writing this article, even prior to me going on my European trip a few years ago. I still have a lot of things that I got for that trip that actually sparked inspiration to write this article as well.

Without further ado, let’s go right ahead and get started.

Get your passports!

Getting your passport is the key thing that you need to leave America, to leave whatever country you are leaving. If you’re an American trying to leave America, you have to get your passport. As a citizen, you just have to.

If you are an American resident, you have to renew your residency if it’s not already expired. If it’s not expired, you are good.

For the Americans, if you are a citizen, make sure that you book your flight prior to the six months of your passport expiring. You cannot travel to Europe or to anywhere if you have six months left in your passport. If you do not have your passport, go right ahead and get one right away, only because we all know that the American government shuts down every so often. Things go on hold, and we want to avoid that at our cost.Getting your passport is only about $120-$150 per person, which is honestly a really good price. It takes about two to four weeks for you to receive it in the mail, less if you need to expedite it.

Buy adapters for your charger

This was one of the things that I definitely had to look for: the outlet adapter in Europe. There are two different kinds. It’s not your typical American one; it’s completely different.

Amazon does sell a whole entire kit that is meant for the UK, and all the ones that are meant just for Europe alone, which is different from the UK one that is made for Asia, one that is made for Australia, and, of course, your typical American one. Plan your trip accordingly.

Planning a European trip does take some time, which is why we decided to do it for next year instead of this year. Plus, next year my fiancé and I are getting married, so going to Europe for our honeymoon is the perfect time. This is the time that we are planning our trip: everything that we want to be doing in Europe, planning out our inquires, the time of our flights that we want to take, and by the time that we get there, what are we going to be doing exactly? Either we’re going to go directly to our hotel room, or we’re going to check out some parts that we want to really go to, or just go to our hotel room, kick it a little bit, rest up, because we are going to be jet-lagged.

Planning a trip to Europe, or planning a trip anywhere that you go, you always want to make sure that you’re planning accordingly. Make yourself an itinerary of things that you want to do while you are in Europe, depending on the part of Europe. Do your research. I know for our European trip I’ve done a lot of research. Our itinerary is essentially done at this point because of me, because I am a perfectionist and I love to plan out trips as much as possible. Definitely look at things that you could be doing, the location that you are going to, places that you guys can go ahead and eat, and hotels that you can be staying at that are within the budget and so on and so forth.

Save up money.

Please go ahead and save up a lot of money for the European trip. Not only is the flight and hotel expensive, you will be spending a lot of money there. When I first went to Europe, thankfully I had a place to stay back then, which I was completely grateful for, so I didn’t have to worry about getting a hotel or anything. I stayed at two different locations with a few friends for my honeymoon.

We are going to be getting a very nice hotel, which is pretty much close to everything. It’s going to cost us about $3,000 to $4,000 between the two of us, which is not bad. If we did have somebody that we didn’t know, then perfect, we could stay with them, but given this is our honeymoon, we’re not going to stay with anyone at all. It’s just going to be him and me, and I just can’t wait for that.

Honestly, save up money for the European trip. It’s going to save you lots of time and lots of headache, and then you can go ahead and book your flight. You kind of want to start booking your flight six months in advance.

Plan out the season that you want to travel to Europe.

Every season, Europe is beautiful, no matter if it’s spring, summer, fall, or winter. Every season, you’re going to have a beautiful day, unless you are going to England. You’re going to have a rainy day during the fall, but besides that, it’s beautiful throughout the whole entire year when it’s not raining.

Sincerely, take a look at what each season looks like in Europe, depending on the place that you want to go to. From there, you can start packing for that type of occasion if you want to go to Europe.

If you want to go to Europe in the winter time, then obviously you have to pack up winter clothes, but also check what the average temperatures are for the winter time. The same thing goes for the summertime. You want to make sure that you are packing up the right things for the summertime, depending on the temperature that they’re going to be having.
